Do you know that feeling when you hear a song that reminds you of your ex? Or one that suddenly makes you feel hopeful? After my breakup, some songs made me cry, and some felt like they'd been written about my story. Music means a lot to me, and it means even more when someone else puts my feelings into words.
Music can change anyone's mood, not only someone going through a breakup. But the point I want to make is that so many things can change your mood, especially during this fragile time.
It happens to everyone
Mood swings are normal, and they're part of a breakup. One day you think you're over it, and the next you're crying as if it's the end of the world. Please don't give up, and don't judge yourself. It happens to everyone. Even if you had a really good week and thought you were through it, and then a memory came and pulled you back, it's okay. It doesn't mean you won't get past this. It just means you're human, with feelings, thoughts and memories.
If you want to get through this, love yourself, be patient with yourself and don't give up. Crying is normal. Judging yourself for crying is what hurts, and that's what I want you to avoid.
